Pair a jerk

GIB ginger beer Jamaican jerk that is. Ladies and gentlemen, Granville Island Brewing’s spicy seasonal is back. And the current recipe is by far the best I have tasted to date. The aroma is so intoxicating it deserves a few extra sniffs before the first sip of the bubbly brew. The heat of ginger is just right, and it compliments spicy food brilliantly. I need to find a jerk recipe to pack a punch alongside a pint. In the meantime the standard stir fry just became a little more exotic.

This beauty is in limited release, but can be found in select LDB stores in addition to GIB’s retail store on Granville Island ($5.25, 650 mL).

Mmmmm…sounds delicious and reminded me of the great tour we went on at the brewery. I wonder if I can buy any here in Alberta, I’d love to try it!

Sadly, GIB doesn’t sell outside of BC. As a microbrewery their focus is local demand (and unfortunately they don’t ship product either). We will just have to lure you back for a visit!
